Sometimes things that people tell you are just as good as they sound. This is the case about 5-10% of the time. Most of the time, people are trying to manipulate or deceive in some manner. Some of you who read this might be considering a military career. This is for you! I, for one, love our military. I'm glad we have such an awesome force in place to protect our country and way of life. I'm also very proud of those who serve and risk their life in service to the armed services. Joining the military can be a wonderful adventure, and typically provides nice job security, and I'm sure that if you talk to military folks, most of them would probably not attempt to talk you out of signing up. So, my telling you these things isn't to try to talk you out of a decision that you want to make, but to make sure that you are not under any illusions.
